Design Language

Two marques, two visual vocabularies, one house.

Jaguar's design language has historically centered on long bonnets, feline proportions, and a sense of motion even at rest — a language set by the E-Type and carried, reinterpreted, through every generation since.

Land Rover's design language inverts that priority: function drives form. Flat glass, short overhangs, high ground clearance, and simple, repairable surfaces are treated as design virtues in their own right, not compromises.

Both marques have moved through the same broader industry shifts — electrification, digital cockpits — while trying to keep these founding visual identities legible. How successfully that's been done, model by model, is a good candidate for deeper, opinionated coverage on this site.
