Direct Messages let you talk to another member privately — useful for anything you'd rather not post publicly, or just to follow up with someone whose forum post was helpful.

An Events & Meets category already exists in the forums for owners organizing gatherings, shows, or expeditions — a natural place to coordinate in-person meetups as the community grows.
